DIY a few weeks ago [post
here], here's how you can re-purpose and style up their boxes, or here is a DIY with the perfect excuse to buy Ferrero Rocher - meaning you are winning either way.

Ferrero Rocher boxes are the perfect [and cheaper] alternative to acrylic display boxes and with a few embellishments, you can have them styled up to fit in with your home decor. It's a genuine 30 minute craft and they make great gift boxes too.
There are some compromises to keep in mind though: mainly the embossed details on one end and the bottom - but it was one I was happy to make :
For the lids, and to act as handles, I bought some pointed pink quartz from eBay. It was a bit of a lottery as the the shape and size, but I was really happy with the pieces I received. To secure them in place, I Used my hot glue gun, but any strong glue will do:
To add a little detail, style the boxes up and help the boxes tie in with my home decor, I used some of the trim left over from
this Mirror DIY to cover the outside of the lid:
As with the
mirror DIY, overlap the ends before cutting flush with a craft knife and smooth with the provided tool for a neat finish:
...and the display boxes are complete:
