Dymo Label Maker | A5 Clip Frame | Craft Knife | Balsa Wood | Pliers

| HOW YOU MAKE THEM |

This DIY cost me less than £5 and gave me the perfect excuse to use my embossing label maker again [cost not included].
Take apart your clip frame - hooray for poundland, where you can get 2 of them for your £1 - and keep the clips to one side as we'll need them later.
Use the width of the glass to measure the length of your balsa wood and make small marks with the craft knife:

...before cutting through the wood in long strokes and using a ruler to ensure a straight line:

You'll need four pieces for this DIY:

Now sandwich your glass between two pieces of the wood:

...and using flat pliers to help straighten the clips, use these to hold the two pieces together, pushing each end through the wood [it's really easy]:

Add two each side and these will help the stand sit upright:

My original idea was to add a instagram-style frame to the back, so that photos could be swapped in and out [which you could do], but happy for any excuse to use my label maker, we now have some quote art for my desk and that I will be taking in to the office.

Because, who doesn't want this song stuck in their head?

...and who needs someone to encourage them to stop working?
